the problem we are facing is runnning oracle reports in a citrix server takes a lot of time..... the application has been developed in oracle forms (D2K) and the reports in oracle reports..
a report that normally takes 3-4 sec in other servers take about 3-4 mins in citrix server ... the issue is not about the query or the database..... it is fine and it is working at its best.... but when the oracle report server in the citrix machine is causing problem.... and the priority is set as low for the report server ...... where we are not able to change the priority......
even a simple one page report accessing very few tables takes considerable amount of time.... and same is the problem printing that report...... some times when u print the report whah has already taken 3 mins to load ....takes plenty of time and some times it gives the message printing and does not print........
the solutions we are looking for is ....... how can we improve the compatiblity of the oracle report server in citrix server..... or can we do some thing like converting the report in pdf format and printing it........ acrobat does not help in the sense that it also takes some time for opening this report and printing it......... we have also tried setting up the report server in a different windows server and redirecting the request from the citrix server.... but it causes problem for more than 8 users..... we tried changing the max connect value to 1000 and also tried... but it is still causing problem....
it would be really helpful if u can help me get the solution ....... as this project is due to go live in 2 days....... and we found this issue only yesterday.....after setting up this client server application in citrix server in our client's place.....
