I don't understand why a user whos temporary tablespace was set to, for instance TEMP, creates temp segments in other tablespaces.

The user was running create table scripts on different tablespaces. Temp segments appears to use the tablespace where create is begin done.

We are on ver. 8.1.7. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Did u do any importing in to the schema you are talking about ?
