Good Afternoon,
I have created three sepearte databases in oracle 7.3 running on NT Server. However I cannot connect to any of them. I go to the lsnrctl command type "start" and I continue to recieve these error messages:
NL-00462: error loading paramater file D:orantnetworkadminlistener.ora

NL-00405: cannot open parameter file
SNL-00821:nlfncons: file does not exist
No such file or directory. I already checked, and the folder is there with the listener.ora file.

When I check the status I recieve the error:
Connecting to (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=PNPKEY)
I have looked at my listener and tnsnames for this key and I cannot find it)
TNS-12224:TNS no listener
TNS-12560: TNS protocol adapter error
TNS-0051: No Listener
No such file or directory.

Where do the listener and tnsnames.ora file go?

The help would be greatly appeciated.

this probably is not it, but who knows:

a problem i have had in the past, make sure the listener.ora file is not really named listener.ora.txt. So change your NT properties to NOT hide extensions of known files.
