Hello everyone,
I know that Oracle 7.3.4 is VERY old, but I need to install it on a Windows NT 4 Workstation Service Pack 6a computer, because a software package in our company needs its engine. I keep on getting this error message every time I start the installation:
"ORAINST caused a General Protection Fault in module WINST.EXE at 0016:54D3. Choose close. ORAINST will close."
Any suggestions?

I am trying to uninstall Oracle 7.3.4 on a Windows NT workstation and install Oracle 8. However, when I'm in the middle of uninstalling Oracle 7.3.4, I either get a "ORAINST.exe" error message or a "TRACESVR File_Not_Found while mapping TRACESVR" error message. Does anyone have any information on this that may help?
